Magic: Marvel Super Heroes and Avengers: Doomsday — what sealed collectors should know
Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes released on 26 June 2026. On 18 December 2026, Avengers: Doomsday arrives in cinemas, with Robert Downey Jr. returning to the MCU as Doctor Doom opposite Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell, directed by the Russo brothers. Early trailers and the D23 reveal have generated some of the biggest buzz Marvel has had since Avengers: Endgame. Marvel is one of the strongest crossover brands around, so it is fair to ask how the film might affect interest in the set. Nobody can predict prices, but here is what is known.
The set in numbers
From Wizards' collector guide: Play Boosters ($6.99 MSRP), Collector Boosters ($37.99 MSRP, with reports of a rise to $39.99), Jumpstart Boosters, Commander Decks, Bundles, Gift Bundles, Draft Night and Scene Boxes. Chase treatments include the Mind Stone in three versions (one cosmic-foil textless version with fewer than 150 printed), 15 mythic classic-comic cards in Collector Boosters, and 60 borderless source-material cards by Marvel artists.
In July, US market data showed a Collector Booster box around $465 and a Play Booster box around $117. Our European pricing today: Collector Booster Display €349.99 and Play Booster Display €139.99 — different markets, different taxes and print languages, so compare with care.

US market watch: prices are already climbing
According to Draftsim and TCGplayer's price guide, Marvel Super Heroes prices have already risen across the board in the US — driven by production delays that kept supply tight rather than by the film itself. Cards like Loki, Lord of Misrule and Black Widow, Agile Avenger are trading well above their original prices. Whether the December film adds a second wave of demand on top of that scarcity is something nobody can promise — but the set is provably tight on supply right now, months before the movie even opens.
Why the film matters (and what it does not guarantee)
- Attention: a major film puts the brand in front of casual buyers, who often look for sealed gifts (Gift Bundles, Bundles, Scene Boxes).
- Finite print runs: Magic sets are printed to demand for a limited window; older sealed product usually becomes harder to find once the set rotates out of main distribution.
- No guarantees: a film can boost interest and still leave prices flat. Treat any "it will explode" claim, including ours, as opinion.
